August 15: Former industrialists say that this year's budget and monetary policy are not in favour of revitalizing the economy when the country is facing economic crisis.
The participants of the seventh series of Biztalk program organized by Morang Business Association claimed that the budget and monetary policy are not helpful towards economic growth of the country.
In a discussion on the topic of 'State of the Economy: Current Discussion', Naveen Rijal, president of the association, said that the private sector can move forward only if the country develops. He pointed out that the government should speed up the development work to strengthen the economic sector. Participating in the event, CPN-UML MP Bhagwati Chaudhary said that if the government can increase capital expenditure, the pace of Nepal's development will also increase. She emphasized that the game of commission in the construction sector should be ended and the budget should be properly allocated in all sectors.
Independent MP Amaresh Kumar Singh said that there is no financial discipline in the country.
"There is no discipline, the country has become a place of chaos, regulatory and service provider bodies should be separate," said Singh. Ganesh Parajuli, Member of Parliament of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, claimed that the young generation came into politics to end the political despair in the country and for responsible politics.
"We had to come because the old guards did nothing. The country will not change just by insulting others. Let us take responsibility and participate in the campaign," he said.
