NEPSE Index Drops 3.61 Points to Close at 2077.24 Points

August 14: The Nepal Stock Exchange(NEPSE) Index, which posted the rise of 61 points from three days’ continuous increase, witnessed a normal correction on the second trading day on Monday.

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index shed 3.61 points or 0.17 percent and closed at 2077.24 points. On the last trading day, the index experienced a gain of 14.81 points.

During today's trading, a total of 279 scrips exchanged their hands through 68,842 transactions.  As many as 5,417,928 shares were traded amounting to Rs 2.09 billion.

IME Life Insurance Company Limited (ILI) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 11.24 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 589.90.

Similarly, Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) gained the highest 9.98% to close at Rs. 308.50.

Meanwhile, Siddhartha Premier Insurance Limited (SPIL) lost the highest 6.46% today.

Five sector indices closed in the green zone while the remaining closed in the red. Manufacturing and Processing Index gained the most with 0.65 percent positive change while Hydropower Index lost the most 1.59%.

Sensitive Index and Sensitive Float Index increased by 0.01 and 0.10 percent respectively, while Float Index dropped by 0.19 percent.
