Licenses of Two Manpower Agencies Revoked Over Failure to Provide Compensation

August 10: The licenses of two manpower agencies have been revoked by the government due to their failure to provide compensation to individuals who were left stranded abroad.

The agencies, Deluxe HR Solution and D. Square Group Manpower Company, were found guilty of violating the professional code of conduct.  The agencies failed to fulfill their contractual obligations by not ensuring jobs for the individuals as specified in the contract, which resulted in them being stranded overseas.

The decision to revoke their licenses was made in accordance with the Foreign Employment Act of 2064 BS (2007).

The Department of Foreign Employment's spokesperson and director, Kavi Raj Upreti, said that two agencies had been instructed by the Department to compensate the affected individuals within a certain timeframe, but they did not comply.

A group of 17 individuals who had been assisted by these agencies to secure employment as bike riders in the UAE filed complaints with the Department.

They reported that the agencies had not fulfilled their contractual commitments, leading to them not being provided with the promised jobs. As a result of these violations, the government took the step to revoke the licenses of Deluxe HR Solution and D. Square Group Manpower Company. (RSS)
