NRB Increases Foreign Exchange Limit for Airline Companies

August 8: Nepal Rastra Bank has increased the foreign exchange facility that airlines companies get for importing services.

The central bank has increased the limit of US$ 50,000 or equivalent that airline operators can exchange to US$ 100,000 by revising the Unified Directive-2079 on Monday.

Similarly, the central bank has also increased the limit of import  through Document Against Payment (DPA) and Document Against Acceptance (DAA).

According to the instructions, the limit of US$ 50,000 for imports through DPA and DAA has been increased to US$ 60,000. Similarly, arrangement has been made for importers to import goods worth INR 30 million from India through DAA.

The NRB revised the Unified Directive to implement the announcements made in the monetary policy of the current fiscal year.
