WorldLink Communications Earns Profit of Over Rs 23 Billion in Three Years  

August 2: The internet service provider company WorldLink Communications Limited has generated a net profit of more than 23 billion rupees in just three years.

 According to credit ratings by CARE Ratings Nepal, the company has earned a net operating profit of 23.89 billion rupees in the three years.

As per CARE Ratings, the company made an operating profit of 6.54 billion rupees in the fiscal year year 2020, 7.95 billion rupees in the year 2021, and 9.39 billion rupees in the fiscal year 2022.

In the fiscal year 2022, the company earned 42 percent revenue from individual customers in ISP services and 7% from corporate customers in ISP services.

WorldLink secured foreign investment of Rs 1.08 billion from British International Investment and 900 million rupees from Dolma Impact Fund in March. The company's foreign investment has accumulated to a total of 3.33 billion rupees.

The company has been rated for a long-term loan of Rs 2.18 billion and a short-term loan of Rs 3.01 billion. CARE Ratings has assigned an A rating for the long-term loan and an A2+ rating for the short-term loan.

According to CARE Ratings, WorldLink holds a 29% market share in Nepal's internet market and a 30% market share in the fiber internet market. The company serves 772,000 customers in over 70 districts as of April and has 88 branch offices throughout the country.

Dilip Agrawal is the Chairman of the company, and Manoj Kumar Agrawal and Vijay Kumar Jalan serve as Executive Directors.
