57,500 Tourists Visited Nepal in July

August 2: Altogether 57,726 tourists visited Nepal via the air route in the month of July. The number of tourists visiting Nepal has been increasing with the decline in coronavirus infection.

According to Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), 21,357 tourists arrived here from India, 5,693 from China and 5,561 from America in July.

The number of tourists visiting Nepal in July this year is more than the number of visitors in the corresponding month of last year. In July last year, 44,462 tourists had arrived in Nepal.

Similarly, the number of tourists coming to Nepal from SAARC countries is more than that from other countries. In July, 25,714 tourists arrived in Nepal from SAARC countries including India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bhutan.

A total of 10,183 tourists visited Nepal from Asia including China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Myanmar and Thailand, and 8,965 tourists from European countries including France, Denmark, Germany, and the UK.

Similarly, 6,214 tourists arrived here from the Americas, 1,213 from Oceania and 373 from Central Asia. Apart from these, 5,064 tourists from other countries also visited Nepal in the review month, according to the data provided by the board.
