July 20: The Department of Revenue Investigation has seized a huge quantity of gold from Tribhuvan International Airport that had passed undetected through the customs on Wednesday evening.    
According to the Department, around 80-100 kilogrammes of the precious yellow metal was confiscated in course of a raid based on a tip off.    
Director General of the Department, Nabaraj Dhungana, told RSS that three persons were arrested on the charge of being involved in smuggling the gold.

It is said that the gold was brought from Hong Kong. Other details of the incident would be revealed by later today (Thursday) after further investigation, shared Dhungana. -- RSS
