July 16: On the last trading day of the current fiscal year 2022/23, the Nepal Stock Exchange(NEPSE) witnessed a rise of 12.16 points or 0.58 percent and ended on the positive note on Sunday(today).
The NEPSE Index closed at 2097.09. Despite rise of the index, transaction amount, however, slumped. The index recorded the transaction amount of Rs 2.37 billion today against the total transaction of Rs 3.39 billion yesterday.
A total of 7,184,254 shares of 286 companies were traded, amounting to Rs 2.37 billion.
The sensitive index experienced a growth of 0.74 per cent and float Index rose 0.63 percent, while Sensitive Float Index increased by 0.85 percent.
Sunrise Focused Equity Fund(SFEF) experienced the highest growth in unit price, increasing by 10 percent and technically hit the positive circuit, while NIBL GF rose by 9.92 percent.
Likewise, Liberty Energy Company's shares lost the most.
Shares of the Shivam Cements Limited traded the most in terms of transaction amount closing at the price of Rs 651.50 per share. Total transaction amount of the SHIVM stood at Rs 19.31 crocres.
Out of the 13 sub-indices, the index of five groups decreased, while the rest of the sub-indices increased during today’s trading.
Out of the total sectoral indices, Mutual Fund Group reported the rise of 2.06% , while Hydropower sector the highest decline of 0.73%.
