July 13: The government has fixed the minimum support price for paddy for the fiscal year 2080-81.  A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Wednesday took the decision to determine the minimum support price for paddy.

For the upcoming fiscal year, the minimum support price has been set at Rs. 3,198 per quintal for ‘mota dhan’ and Rs. 3,362 per quintal for ‘madhyam dhan’.

The minimum support price determined for the fiscal year 2080-2081 has increased by Rs. 231 compared to the current fiscal year.

For the current fiscal year, the government has set the minimum support price at Rs. 2,967 per quintal for ‘mota dhan’ and Rs. 3,128 per quintal for ‘madhyam dhan’.
