June 21: Nepal Bankers' Association (NBA) and Invest for Impact Nepal (IIN) have signed an agreement to collaboratively run a certified curriculum focused on environmental, social, and good governance (ESG).

As per the agreement, NBA and IIN will jointly operate the implementation of a certified ESG program targeting professionals within Nepal's financial sector. The curriculum is certified by the School of Management of the University of Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain.

The primary objective of this program is to enhance the capacity of employees working in banks and financial institutions, equipping them with the knowledge and skills related to social, environmental, and good governance aspects of ESG.

The ultimate aim is to prepare a skilled workforce capable of contributing to sustainable development and effective governance. Sunil K.C., President of the Nepal Bankers' Association, and Bibek Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of Invest for Impact Nepal (IIN) had signed the agreement.
