June 20: The Machhapuchhre Bank Limited and the Private and Boarding Schools’ Organization Nepal (PABSON) have signed a financial and digital literacy initiative agreement. As per the agreemnet, the bank will launch nationwide financial literacy programme in schools in collaboration with PABSON.
Bank’s Chief Executive Officer Santosh Koirala and PABSON President DK Dhunagana signed the agreement.
On the occasion, Guruprasad Paudel, the Executive Director of the Nepal Rastra Bank, said that literacy programme in schools will not only help students but also to their parents.
Dr. Upendra Mahato, the Chairman of the bank, said that incorporating banking education in textbooks on school-level textbooks would play an important role. Dhungana, the President of PABSON, mentioned that PABSON has included banking education in its academic calendar.
