June 18: The Nepal Stock Exchange(NEPSE) also saw an increase on Sunday. The benchmark index has been consistently rising for the past nine trading days.
On Sunday, the NEPSE index increased by 2.56 percent, or 52.26 points and closed at 2,094.33 points.
Along with the NEPSE index, the sensitive index also grew by 1.87 percent and settled at 390.56 points. On this day, 280 scrips traded hands via 70,647 transactions. A total of 1,2095,966 shares were traded, equivalent to Rs. 4,86,91,84,016.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) shares traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 36.64 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 585 per share.
Seven scrips gained the highest 10% each and hit the positive circuit for today.
Conversely, Shuvam Power Limited (SPL) lost the highest 5.58% today.
Only one sector closed in the red zone. "Life Insurance" gained the highest 6.38% while "Banking" lost 0.29% today.
