June 12: An earthquake was recorded with epicenter at Bicchiya of Bajura district on Monday morning.    
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, Lainchaur, the earthquake measuring 4.4 in the Richter scale was felt in the district at 7.38 am this morning.    
Prior to this, earthquakes with epicenter at Bichhaya were recorded several times in Bajura.    
An earthquake measuring 3.9 in the Richter scale had also rocked Sindhupalchowk district on May 28.    
Lately, earthquakes have been recurring frequently in the eastern and western parts of Nepal. Nepal's hill and mountainous areas are considered highly vulnerable to earthquakes. -- RSS
