Three Arrested For Scamming People by Creating Facebook Page Home and Land Loan Service

June 11: Police have arrested three individuals on the charges of scamming people by creating a Facebook page called "House and Land Loan Service." The arrested individuals are Nakul Chalise, Akash Bhattarai, and Ram Chandra Chalise, all aged 27.

The arrested had allegedly created a loan service page on Facebook four months ago, claiming that they provide loans for purchasing houses and land. They lured various individuals by promising to provide loans and asked them to contact them. They had defrauded different people by taking checks and cash totaling Rs 5,720,000.

Furthermore, they are found to have misused another person's citizenship, opened bank accounts in various banks, involved in fraudulent activities by issuing checks.  

The District Police Office Kathmandu has arrested them for their alleged involvement in fraud and banking offenses. “Police have launched an investigation into them,” said a source at Kathmandu District Police Office.
