June 6: General discussion on the government's annual estimate of revenue and expenditure (budget) for the fiscal year (FY) 2023/24 has started in the House of Representatives.     
During the lower house meeting on Monday, Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat presented a proposal to begin general discussion on the new fiscal year’s budget.    
Members of Parliament taking part in the discussion expressed their views on the budget from their respective party’s perspective.    
Finance Minister Dr Mahat had presented the budget for the FY 2023/24 at a joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on May 29. -- RSS
