June 1: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said his four-day India visit would focus on fostering harmony between the two countries.    
Addressing a reception organised by the Nepalese Embassy in India in his honour on Wednesday, PM Dahal shared that the visit would cultivate mutual trust and welfare. It would be in favour of Nepal and Nepalis.    
PM Dahal embarked on the official visit to India at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He shared that discussion would be held on various issues of bilateral interest and welfare in course of the visit.    
Reiterating the age-old and people to people relations between Nepal and India, Prime Minister Dahal expressed his belief that this visit would take the friendly relations between the two countries to a new height.    
PM Dahal expressed happiness saying Nepalis residing in India for various purpose including study and employment are themselves the goodwill ambassadors. He urged them to utilize their skills and knowledge gained in India for the country's prosperity.    
“The Nepal government is effortful to grant voting rights to Nepalis living out of the country,” the PM shared.    
PM Dahal further said that the government had recently incorporated those people, who are in foreign employment, in social security scheme and urged the Nepalis living in India to benefit from it.    
According to PM Dahal, the national economy dented by the COVID-19 is gradually restoring with the formation of the present government.

“The government is committed to economic development and its result will be seen soon,” he said.    
Elimination of corruption and pro-people service are the other priorities, he added. The PM further said that Nepal has entered a new stage of democratic system with the election of three tiers of government.    
PM Dahal arrived in New Delhi, leading a Nepali delegation, on Wednesday. He is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with his Indian counterpart on Thursday. It is said agreements will be made on some significant issues between the two countries.    
The agenda include energy, trade, commerce and mutual interests. -- RSS
