May 27: The House of Representatives (HoR) has endorsed the annual policies and programmes of the government for upcoming fiscal year.    
A meeting of the HoR on Saturday passed the policies and programmes by majority. Earlier, the meeting had rejected amendments proposals to the annual policies and programmes by majority. This has paved the way for the government to present the budget for the upcoming fiscal year on May 29 as per the constitutional provision.
President Ram Chandra Paudel had presented the government policy and programme at the joint session of HoR and National Assembly on May 19.    
During Saturday’s meeting, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal responded to the queries raised in course of the deliberation on the policies and programmes.    
The next meeting of the HoR is scheduled to take place at 1.00 pm on May 28, a day before budget announcement.
