May 24: An early-morning earthquake rocked Bajhang district on Wednesday with its epicentre in Daulichaur.
According to the National Seismological Centre, Lainchaur, the 4.5-magntitude earthquake took place at 4.06 on Wednesday morning.
Earlier, an earthquake measuring 4.1 in the Richter scale had occurred with its epicentre in Hukam of Rukum-East on May 21 followed by a 4.1 magnitude earthquake with its epicentre at Bichhiya of Bajura district on May 22.
Of late earthquake has become a recurring phenomenon in the eastern and western areas of Nepal. Nepal's hill and mountainous regions are considered highly vulnerable to earthquakes. -- RSS
