May 16: Chandra Prasad Dhakal, the President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has called for an urgent action to resolve Nepal's ongoing economic crisis.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Koshi Province Chapter of FNCCI on Monday, Dhakal emphasized the need to address the crisis through the implementation of new monetary policies and budget.
Dhakal stated that while some efforts had been made in the past to address the crisis, the remaining issues could only be resolved through new policy measures.
Dhakal further highlighted that the FNCCI had suggested several measures to improve the investment environment, attract foreign investment and address tax-related issues in the new budget.
Dhakal stressed the need for collaboration between the government and the private sector to find sustainable solutions to the economic challenges facing the country.
The Koshi Province committee of FNCCI, including President Rajendra Raut and other officials and members, has assumed their offices and will work.
