May 4: President Ramchandra Paudel has summoned a meeting of both the House of Representatives (HoR) and National Assembly (NA) on Sunday, May 7. The meeting will take place at the International Conference Centre in New Baneswor at 4:00 pm.
According to the parliament secretariat, the session will begin with pre-budget discussions. This will provide an opportunity for members of both houses to discuss and provide input on the government's annual policy and program.
The government's annual policy and programme and annual income and expenditure (budget) would be presented in the session.
In preparation for this important event, the parliament secretary Dr Bharat Raj Gautam has issued a notice requesting all HoR and NA members to attend the meeting at the designated date, time and venue.
The budget session is a significant moment in the government's calendar, as it sets out the country's financial roadmap for the coming year.
