Government to Introduce Ordinance to Address Problems of Loan Sharking Victims

May 3: The government is preparing to introduce an ordinance to address the concerns of victims of loan sharking.

During a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday, it was decided that legal provisions would be amended through an ordinance to resolve the problems faced by loan sharking victims.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, stated that the government would recommend the ordinance to the President to ensure the necessary legal provisions are in place to help victims of usury.

Minister Sharma further added that the ordinance would be submitted to the President for approval on the same day.
