RSP's Lamichhane Leads Vote Count in Chitwan-2 with Wide Margin   

April 25: Rastriya Swatantra Party's candidate Rabi Lamichhane has been leading the vote count with wide margin in the by-election in Chitwan constituency-2. So far, he has received 40,069 votes while his nearest contender Jit Narayan Shrestha of Nepali Congress is a distant second with 7,457 votes and CPN UML candidate Ram Prasad Neupane is third with 7,268.    

At total of 56,496 votes have been counted so far, said assistant election officer at the Office of Chief Returning Officer in Bharatpur, Ishwor Acharya.    
So far, 870 votes have been invalid. -- RSS
