April 23:  As part of preparation for the by-election at Tanahun constituency-1 on Sunday, the Tanahun District Administration office has announced the closure of Prithivi highway section and inner roads in the constituency. The closure will be in effect from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Local roads from Muglin bridge to Chapaghat of Byash Municipality, Dumre Besishar road section, Aanbukhaireni Gorkha road section, Damauli Duipiple road, among others, will also be closed during this time. 

Only vehicles carrying essential services such as firefighters, water tankers, waste disposal vehicles, hospital staff, and journalists with a press pass will be permitted.

Additionally, night buses that pass through Tanahun are advised to cross Tanahun before 4:00 am on Sunday. This measure is aimed at ensuring a smooth and secure by-election process in Tanahun constituency-1.
