Dunai to get Electricity from Central Transmission Line within Two Weeks

April 13: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has started testing the central electricity transmission line from Dolpa to Dunai. Karnali Province office of NEA conformed that the testing of the transmission line from Triveni in Rukum West to Dunai in Dolpa has started from Wednesday.

The construction of central transmission line was started in Dolpa two years ago. According to the NEA office, locals of Dunai can utilize the electricity service within two weeks.

According to the provincial office, the expansion of transmission line is going on even in the Jajarkot section. Although there was a plan to supply electricity through the central transmission line in Dunai in the previous fiscal year, the construction was completed only in the last quarter of the current fiscal year due to the dilly dallying on part of the contractor. The NEA is now all set to supply electricity to Dunai through the 11 kV transmission, while a sub-station of the 33 kV transmission line is under construction at Tripurakot, the administrative center of Tripurasundari Municipality.
