KMC Mayor says Political Party Leaders must be Dumped in Sisdole

April 9: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC)’s Mayor Balen Shah made critical comments on the leaders of political parties on social media

Mayor Shah wrote on his official Facebook page on Saturday that he will not pick up the garbage of Singha Darbar.

"If the country is to be cleaned, its leaders will have to be dumped in Sisdole (dumping site)," wrote Shah.

Mayor Shah hinted that he will not cooperate with Singha Durbar from Saturday itself after the government did not cooperate with him when he tried to drive a dozer in the squatters’ settlement on the banks of Bagmati River in Garigaon on Friday.

He wrote on Facebook: "Starting from today (April 8), the garbage of Singha Durbar will not be picked up, if the country has to be cleaned, its leaders will have to be dumped in Sisdole."

Shah’s critical statement that leaders will have to be dumped in Sisdole, the site where the garbage of the Kathmandu Valley is disposes, has now become a topic of hot discussion on social media.
