Airline Companies Slash Airfare 

April 5: Following the decision of the state-owned Nepal Oil Corporation(NOC) to lower the price of aviation fuel for domestic market by Rs 10 per liter, the airlines companies have also slashed the prices of air tickets effective from Wednesday.  

According to the Airline Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN), the price of an air ticket from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi has decreased by Rs 440. An air ticket from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi now costs Rs 7,070. 

Earlier, the airfare was Rs 7,510 per ticket. Similarly, the new airfare for mountain flight is Rs 5,490. A total of Rs 345 has been reduced in the airfare for the flight that is operated from Kathmandu. 

Likewise, airfare for Kathmandu- Bhadrapur has decreased by Rs 300, Kathmandu-Biratnagar by Rs 240, and Kathmandu to Janakpur by Rs 130.

The price of air ticket from Kathmandu to Pokhara has reduced by Rs 155, Kathmandu to Bharatpur by Rs 110, Kathmandu to Bhairahawa by Rs 205, Kathmandu to Nepalgunj by Rs 185 and Kathmandu to Surkhet by Rs 345 respectively.
