March 29: The exchange rate of the US dollar has dropped to the lowest point in two weeks, according to the foreign exchange rate set by the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) for Wednesday. The selling rate of the dollar has dropped to Rs 131.81 on Wednesday. The selling rate of the US dollar set by NRB on Tuesday was Rs 132.1.
Prior to this, the lowest rate of US dollar was Rs 131.7 on March 14.
Banks sold dollars between Rs 131.7 and Rs 131.9. This also indicated that the value of the dollar will decrease on Wednesday.
Along with the US dollar, the selling price of the Chinese Yuan has also decreased. However, there is only a difference of four paise between the selling price of Yuan on Tuesday and Wednesday. The selling price of the Chinese Yuan which was Rs 19.19 on Tuesday, dropped to Rs 19.15 on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the exchange rate of the euro increased. The selling rate of Euro for Wednesday has been fixed at Rs 142.62. On Tuesday, the selling rate of Euro was Rs 142.21.
