March 24: Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited held a staff fundraising program “Home Run 2023” for its sustainability initiative “Futuremakers by Standard Chartered” on March 18, 2023.

Around 200 staffers participated in the programme by walking, running and cycling across an 11km route covering the bank’s branches in Naxal, Newroad and Naya Baneshwor.

Standard Chartered’s Futuremakers is the bank’s global initiative to tackle inequality and promote greater economic inclusion for young people in communities. The funds raised from the event will be used for Futuremakers-related CSR projects in Nepal.

At the inauguration ceremony of the event, Chief Executive Officer Anirvan Ghosh Dastidar expressed his gratitude to the staff members for coming together for this noble cause which would help empower the next generation to learn, earn and grow. 

“At Standard Chartered, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to realise their potential. Home Run is a fantastic initiative by the Bank to help young people from low-income backgrounds by raising funds,” Dastidar added.
