March 19: The price of gold has set a new record after an increase in the price of the precious yellow metal by Rs 2900 per tola (11.66 grams) on Sunday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the price of gold on Sunday has been set at Rs 110,000 per tola. Last Friday, the price of gold was Rs 107,100 per tola.
The last time the price of gold reached the highest ever was on February 12, when the price was recorded at Rs 107,500 per tola, according to the Federation of Gold and Silver Dealers Association.
Since then, the price of gold has been fluctuating.
In the last few days, the price of gold has been constantly on the rise. Last week, the price of gold increased by Rs 3,600 per tola.
