NAC to Operate Direct Flight to South Korea

 

March 5: National flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will start direct flight to South Korea from Tribhuvan International Airport. 

Nepal Airlines Corporation has commenced the process to start direct flight to Incheon International Airport, Seoul in South Korea, according to Spokesperson Archana Khadka of the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).

A ten-member safety audit sub-committee has been formed led by Deputy General Manager Engineer Bikram KC for the direct flight to Seoul. The safety sub-committee has been tasked to study about on launching direct flight to South Korea.

“Civil Aviation Authority under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport South Korea will audit for the direct flight. And the sub-committee has been formulated to facilitate the audit work,” said spokesperson Khadka.

As part of its plan to expand international destinations, the NAC has started the preparation for direct flight to South Korea. With the NAC’s direct flight to Seoul, the fare from Nepal to South Korea will come down and the national flag carrier’s responsibility will be fulfilled, NAC believes.

Nepal Airlines Corporation has been making international flights to ten destinations of eight countries, including three places in India. NAC has two narrow body A-320 aircrafts and two wide body A-330 aircrafts.
