Tourism Minister Unveils 10-Point Action Plan   

February 28: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kirati has introduced a 10-point action plan ranging from making diplomatic efforts to operate the Gautam Buddha International Airport in full fledge to taking forward the Civil Aviation Bill.    
Minister Kirati made the action plan public amid a press conference at his office in Singha Durbar on Monday. The minister also presented the details of his undertakings and 5-point reforms achieved in the past 42 days since he assumed office.    
The tourism minister shared that preparations were afoot to establish the Pashupati University. Other plans include a three-month-long Pashupati cleanup campaign, formation of a permanent unit in the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal to receive complaints on gender-based violence among others.    
Furthermore, an investigation committee would be formed to look into the grounded aircraft and directives would be devised to institutionalize clean-up drive of heritage sites, said the minister.    
Minister Kirati added that Bharatpur Airport would be expanded.    
The minister said he has ensured online ticket system for Nepal Airlines Corporation during his tenure. He also said there has been managerial reforms and sanitation drive as well as tangible progresses in the aviation security, Lumbini Master Plan and internet access among others.  -- RSS
