School, Health Post and Houses Damaged in Bajura Earthquake

February 23: A school, two health posts and several houses were damaged in the 5.2 magnitude earthquake that struck Bichhya in Himali Rural Municipality of Bajura district on Wednesday afternoon.     
Chief District Officer Pushkar Khadka confirmed that two health centers and one school in Himali Rural Municipality 1, 3 and 5 were damaged by the earthquake.    
Similarly, the child development building in ward no 1 of the rural municipality has been completely destroyed.

“Eight houses have been damaged and the details of the damage are being collected,” said chair of the rural municipality, Gobindra Bahadur Malla.    
According to the District Police Office Bajura, the two-storied houses of Purna Prasad Pandey and Harichandra Pandey in the ward no 4 of the same rural municipality were completely damaged by the earthquake. -- RSS
