February 20: Gautam Buddha International Airport will soon resume international flights. Jazeera Airways, which has been operating regular flights from the airport since January, will soon resume operation from the airport. Before the resumption of Jazeera flights, a chartered flight is taking place on Monday.
The airport office informed New Business Age that Canadian Airlines will operate a chartered flight at the airport. General Manager of the airport Govinda Prasad Dahal said that although the chartered flight was supposed to come on Sunday, it was postponed due to various reasons, and is now scheduled to land on Monday. According to him, with the improvement in the weather and other technical issues, Jazeera Airways has asked for more time to fly.
Jazeera will fly from the morning of March 9. Jazeera Airways will operate flights to and from the airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Earlier, Jazeera was flying three times a week. Due to bad weather, the airline stopped the Gautam Budh-Kuwait flights.
Dahal also said that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal will fly to India during his state visits from GBIA. With the inauguration of the second international airport in last May, Jazeera Airways was the first to operate international flights from the airport. Nepal's Himalaya Airlines, which operated chartered flight for some time, has not yet taken the initiative to resume its service.
