February 17: Entrepreneurs, traders and industrialists staged a protest rally against banks and financial institutions at Maitighar Mandala, Kathmandu, on Friday. 

Agitating traders and industrialists shouted slogans against banks and financial institutions saying that high interest rates had put their businesses on the verge of collapse. 

At a corner meeting organized after the rally, protesting industrialists and traders demanded to lower the interest rates to single digit, among others and provide subsidies to overcome challenges facing their businesses and enterprises.
