Land Revenue Office to Implement Time Card

February 14: Land revenue offices are all set to implement a time card system to make their services transparent, hassle-free and service-seeker friendly across the country.

The Ministry of Land Management and Cooperatives has issued directive to the land revenue offices to provide their services within two hours.

Secretary Dr Damodar Regmi at the Ministry of Land Management and Cooperatives, said that the ministry had directed to the land revenue offices to display citizens’ charter informing the services seekers about providing their services within two hours in a transparent manner. The charter has to be visible and understandable by all and sundry.

Following monitoring of land revenue offices and survey offices in various districts, including Morang, Secretary Regmi sought assistance from service seekers and lekhapadhi byabasai to make the time card system effective.

Stating that coordination among land revenue office, local level, ward office, and lekhapadhi byabasai was necessary, Dr Regmi stressed the need to make fees charged by lekhapadhi byabasi to the service seekers fair and transparent.

Land revenue offices have been directed to implement the token system, waiting room, and help desk along with drinking water on their premises, Regmi added.
