February 5: The price of gold plummeted by Rs 2,000 per tola (11.66 grams) in the domestic market on Sunday compared to the previous trading-day rate. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold has been fixed at Rs 104,100 per tola and standard gold is being traded it Rs 103,600 per tola.
On Friday, fine gold was traded at Rs 106,100 per tola and standard gold’s price was Rs 105,600.
The domestic market for gold and silver remains closed on Saturday.
Similarly, the price of silver on Sunday went down by Rs 45 per tola and was traded at Rs 1,320 per tola. The federation fixes the prices of gold and silver in the domestic market on a daily basis based the price in the international market. -- RSS
