Labour Permits to be Issued from All Seven Provinces from Jan 8

January 7: The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security has decided to issue the institutional and individual labour permits from all seven provinces starting from this Sunday (January 8). Prior to this, the ministry had been providing labour permits only from Kathmandu.
From now on, the labour permits would also be issued from the labour and employment offices at Biratnagar and Janakpur from coming Sunday, the ministry stated. The employment offices at Biratnagar and Janakpur had been only renewing the labour permits.
Secretary at the Ministry Ek Narayan Aryal confirmed that the employment offices at Janakpur and Biratnagar will also be issuing the institutional and individual labour permits from January 8.
According to him, the foreign employment offices at Pokhara and Butwal have been providing all three types of services, including issuing institutional and individual labour permits and their renewal.
Renewal of labour permits and issuance of individual labour permits have been started from the labour and employment offices at Surkhet and Kailali as well.
With this, provision has been made for issuing all types of labour permit from the labour and employment offices in all seven provinces.
The ministry stated through a press release that arrangements have been made for accessing all types of labour permits online without the service-seekers having to be present in person at the labour office.
