January 5:  With the formation of the new government after the November 20 general elections, Nepal government has started promotion and transfer of civil servants.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday decided to appoint Toyam Raya, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies as the secretary at the Ministry of Finance. 

Similarly, the government has appointed Ram Prasad Ghimire as revenue secretary. Earlier, Ghimire was working at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).
