Pushpa Kamal Dahal sworn-in as Prime Minister

December 26 : Newly-appointed Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal took the oath of office and secrecy from President Bidhya Devi Bhnadri at Sheetal Niwas on Monday. 

After taking the oath of office and secrecy, Prime Minister Dahal has formed an eight-member Council of Ministers. The newly-formed Cabinet consists of three deputy prime ministers and four ministers. CPN-UML’s Bishnu Poudel has been allocated the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance while CPN-Maoists Center’s Narayankaji Shrestha has bagged the portfolio of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport. 

Similarly, Rastriya Swotantra Party’s President Ravi Lamichhane has been given the portfolio of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs. 
Likewise, other ministers are Jwala Kumari Sah, Damodar Bhandari, Rajendra Rai and Abdul Khan. Prime Minister is yet to allocate ministries to the ministers. 

Meanwhile, all seven ministers, including three deputy prime ministers were administered oath of office and secrecy today itself.
