November 29: Brazil’s ‘invisible man’ Casemiro scored a stunning winner as the five-time champions edged past Switzerland to reach the World Cup knockout stage on Monday.

The Manchester United midfielder brought the match to life seven minutes from time in an otherwise drab encounter as he fired a first-time effort into the far corner, leaving Swiss goalkeeper Tann Sommer standing

With this victory, Brazil leads the group with maximum points and will be guaranteed the top spot with just a draw against Cameroon in their final group-stage game.

According to the BBC, he was described before the match as Brazil's key "invisible man" but by full-time Casemiro was being lauded as the "best midfielder in the world".
