November 25: Vote counting under the election to the member of the House of Representatives (HoR) and provincial assemblies is in progress. According to the Election Commission, the CPN (UML) is leading the vote-count tally towards the Proportional Representation (PR) election system as per the vote-count until 6 am today (November 25). The UML has been leading the PR vote tally since the beginning of the vote counting. The left-wing party has secured 894,409 votes so far.
The Nepali Congress has garnered 857,621 votes while the Rastriya Swatantra Party has obtained 432,575 votes and is in third position in terms of the number of votes towards the PR election system so far.
The CPN (Maoist Centre), which is in the fourth position in the votes tally, has collected 402,499 votes and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is in the fifth position with 233,375.
Similarly, the Janata Samajbadi Party has secured 112,579 votes, followed by the Janamat Party (67,614 votes), the Nagarik Unmukti Party (62,547 votes), the CPN (Unified Socialist) (61,704 votes) and Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (56,183 votes) votes till now.
Likewise, the Lokatantrik Samajbadi Party Nepal has obtained 51,200 votes, the Hamro Nepali Party 29,423 votes, the Rastriya Janamorcha 21,814 votes and the Mongol National Organisation 17,186 votes.
The CPN (ML), the Rastriya Janamukti Party, the Nepal Sanghiya Samajbadi Party, the Sanghiya Lokatantrik Rastriya Manch, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal, among other parties, each has garnered less than 10,000 votes towards the PR system so far. -- RSS
