Stating that he had also visited Nepal in 2070 BS to observe the general election, he lauded the efforts of the employees and security persons deputed on election duty and the participation of voters. </span><br />
<span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">Maldives' Election Commission Chief Thowfeek had observed the election at eight voting stations in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Kavrepalanchok. He further said that he would share about the good practices of the election management and the process found in Nepal back in the Maldives. </span><br />
<span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">“The voters in the developing countries seem not yet ready to adopt the electronic voting system,” he said and suggested that rather than collecting the ballot boxes at every Election Officer's office for counting the votes, it would be better if the vote counting was done at every polling station itself.
