November 15: Buddha Air, one of the leading private carriers of Nepal, is planning to start flights to three destinations in India from Pokhara Regional International Airport. The airlines will operate flight to Benares, Delhi and Dehradun. Pokhara Regional International Airport will come into operation from January in 2023, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.
“Buddha Air will operate the first flight along the Pokhara-Benares-Pokhara route as soon as the airport comes into operation,” said an official of Buddha Air. The flight from Pokhara-Benares to Pokhara will be held three times a week on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Government of Nepal is holding talks with the Indian government for an air traffic route and Buddha Air is preparing for two flights a day to Delhi from Pokhara once the Indian government gives permission for air route and slot, according to Buddha Air.
At present, Buddha Air is operating flights to Beneras from Tribhuvan International Airport.
