October 23: The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association has revealed that gold and silver traders are facing trouble due to the ineffective gold supply system in the market. A delegation of the federation, led by its president Manik Ratna Shakya, made such complaint to Mahesh Bhattarai, the director general of the Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection on Friday.

During a programme organized by the department to discuss various issues of consumer concern, the representative of the federation said that the supply of gold and silver has been very low as compared to the demand in the market. The representatives of the federation argued that it is difficult to operate the business in such a situation.

Director General Bhattarai said that the businessmen's complaints were reasonable and expressed his commitment to convey the message to the concerned authorities.
