5.9 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Kathmandu Valley   

October 19: An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale was recorded this afternoon with its epicenter in Nepal-China border.    
The earthquake occurred at 3.07 pm, according to the National Seismological Centre.    
Seismologist Dr Mukunda Bhatatrai said the earthquake jolted Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha, Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Kathmandu Valley and Dhading. -- RSS
