September 25: The Association of Investment Professional Nepal (AIPN) has started a monthly talk series on the topic of FDI risk in hydroelectricity sector and financial management of hydropower projects. The talk series is focused on providing financial literacy to the potential investors, reads a statement issued by AIPN, a non-profit organization registered in Nepal.
According to the statement, AIPN started the talk series under its first monthly discussion and interaction programme held at City Centre, Kamalpokhari on September 23.
This talk series was moderated by financial analyst and Chartered Accountant Bikash Kabariya, who has the experience of working in the hydropower sector representing both the project developers as well as the government.
The first talk series focused on introduction on types of hydropower projects and Public Private Partnership.
Participants of the talk series discussed about the need to minimize risk in hydropower projects, improvement in hedging guidelines and risk of interest rate fluctuation.
AIPN is preparing to launch another talk series in October after the Dashain festival.
