September 12: With a focus on informing potential investors about investment opportunities for sustainable infrastructure in Nepal and to create a conducive environment for investment, the Investment Board Nepal is organising the Sustainable Infrastructure Investment Forum on September 14.
The key objective of the forum is to explore ways on how foreign investment could be made more reliable and systematic in the country while ensuring sustainability of the development process.
Organising a news conference on Sunday, Chief Executive Officer of the board Sushil Bhatta said the forum would discuss the ideas of making development and construction works sustainable while making it green, resilient and inclusive. He added that the forum would be a cornerstone for resource mobilisation to achieve the net-zero carbon emissions as committed by Nepal in the COP-26.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to inaugurate the forum, informed the board's Spokesperson Amrit Lamsal. -- RSS
