Mustang Apples will be Available in the Market Soon

September 8: Apples produced in Mustang will be available in the market in the third week of September this year. Stakeholders and apple farmers have reached an understanding to pick and sell apples in the district from September 10 onwards.

By now, the apples have already ripened on the plant. Ripe and red apples can be seen along the road while going uphill from Kobang, Thasang rural municipality-2 of Mustang through the Beni-Jomsom road. Local residents say that tourists who come to visit Mustangs stop their cars and take selfies, make videos and buy the apples as souvenirs.

In the next few days, the farmers will get busy in picking the ripe apples and deliver them to the market. Farmers here are also excited after getting permission to pick apples five days earlier this year than last year.

Last year, permission was given to pick and sell apples from September 17. It is estimated that both the farmers and traders will benefit this time. Last year, both the farmers and traders had to bear losses due to the unavailability of markets for apples on time.
