August 31: The Furniture and Furnishing Association of Nepal is all set to organize a furniture fair at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu from September 8 to 12.
According to the Furniture and Furnishing Association, the event is being held in collaboration with the Federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal, IDEA Nepal and Space Magazine. The expo will feature various furniture products of companies from countries including Nepal, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
“Furnishings materials related to kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, outdoor and interior designing as well as carpet and marble will be put on display,” the association’s President Shuvendra Joshi told the state-owned national news agency RSS.
According to Joshi, the annual transaction of furniture business in Nepal is worth around Rs 60 billion of which 50 percent products are imported from foreign countries.
The organisers have set an entrance fees of Rs 100 per person.
