August 24: The Youth Entrepreneurs Forum of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries has elected a new executive committee. The annual general meeting of the forum recently constituted a new board under the chairmanship of Prachi Agarwal. Agarwal has become the first woman president of the forum.
The newly elected president Agarwal is involved in various businesses including furnishing. She holds a Masters in Finance and Marketing from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow and a Masters in Interior Designing from the United Arab Emirates.
Anurag Goyal (Learning Chair), Ashish Aggarwal (Assistant Learning Chair), Manish Shrestha (Membership and Engagement Chair), Chirag Saravagi (Communication Chair), Ankush Agarwal (Finance Chair) and Sugam Ghimire (Startup Chair) have been elected to the new board of the forum.
Newly elected president Agarwal said that this year the forum will focus on instilling the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth by starting an incubation center for startups. "We will start developing and building Nepal's economy by advocating favorable policies for all," she said.
Youth Entrepreneurs Forum is a youth organization of the CNI formed in 2017. The first president of the forum was Bishnu Kumar Aggarwal. He is currently the president of CNI.
The forum recently concluded its successful program CNIYEF Nepal Startup Fest. During the event, 7 startups signed an initial investment agreement of Rs 245 million.
